Film musical ‘Bring my love to Poland’
Saturday evening, 25th November 2023, 7 p.m.
Last year, the Stichting Music Herveld successfully staged the musical Bring my love to Poland. During the Second World War, Polish paratroopers played an important role for the village of Driel.
The story of the musical begins with the dropping of the 1st Independent Polish Parachute Brigade in Driel. And ends with Red Cross nurse Cora Baltussen holding a dying Polish soldier in her arms, saying: Bring my love to Poland.
Video recordings were made of this touching musical theater, and now the Blije Kerk Driel is bringing this film to the big screen on Saturday evening, Nov. 25, at the Catholic Church in Driel.
The film is suitable for youth and adults. The film begins at 7 p.m., and lasts approximately 2 hours. Admission is free; door collection afterwards.
In the back of the church, there is a permanent exhibit about that time. Bring my love to Poland, written by Samantha Janssen and others, is the title of a musical tribute to the Polish soldiers who fought for our freedom.
