Poem commemoration 2024
Antonina Gębka, I LO Toruń, kl. IIa
I saw boys throwing snowballs at each other.
Good fun, fast briefing, the boys became men,
the smile disappeared from their faces,
whilist throwing snowballs, they dream of the fireplace.
What do they search for? What do they desire? What do they think?
They’re shooting,
the snowballs falling down from the sky are crashing,
collapsing.
I am hearing the bell,
deafening silence,
they became just a memory,
an 80 years old defeated dream.
