Monument on the square
The pedestal symbolises the Polish Nation. In a place removed from everyday’s turmoil a casket containing Polish earth is safeguarded, flanked by the coats of arms of Poland and Warsaw, and surmounted by the emblem of the Polish Brigade.
From the base rises a concrete dynamic element signifying Poland’s spirit and intrepid courage.
From this steps forward the image of Youth, the future, carrying freedom as a precious jewel in his hands.
In hard times freedom seems to disappear but it is only imagination, for it is always present, centering on national spiritual resources, and always given shape by Polish courage and strength of mind.
